AdvancedArtUSA takes pride in helping its students with a college-ready art portfolio. We work directly with the student to tailor his or her individual portfolio for the art school students wish to apply to.
For the Portfolio Prep, art students will have already created a body of work for their portfolio. It is strongly recommended students take the AP Studio Art course before applying to art schools to get the full benefits of AdvancedArtUSA.
With the Portfolio Prep program, students will receive a Recommendation Letter from their mentor that can be sent with college applications and portfolios. In addition, the mentor will help the student craft the student’s Artist’s Statement.
Mentors will also assist in selecting the best works for the school the student will apply to. We can also recommend and inform students of the various schools and options.

- We will elaborate on which are the stronger works for the portfolio and why, as well as give recommendations to improve the weaker works.
- We will recommend tips on improving the quality of the art portfolio for the particular school students wish to apply to.
- Mentors will write a Recommendation Letter to go with applications as well as help write the student’s Artist Statement.

- You will be assigned a teacher and he/she will contacted you via email
- Once you communicate with your teacher you will set up a time and schedule to complete your work.
- The teacher will help you with specific art projects from the initial concept, to execution of the work, to a final critique of your work.
